Menu WITHOUT items

Hi,
I've seen there's tons of menu plugins for jQuery, but everyone I've seen relies on lists to generate a menu. I still have the menu and its fency mouseover / mouseout graphics and behaviours.

I then have a hidden div with content. I'd simply like a helper to help me manage the appearing of that div (the menu content), as it is not so easy as you have to work with items etc (for example, to prevent the user to go away from the menu button and hide back the menu before you can click on it etc.).
