I am currently on Jquery 1.2.6.  Has anyone migrated from 1.2.6 to 1.3.x or 1.4. Any reasons to do so?

Is Jquery backward compatible?
What about jquery ui and other jquery plugins? How did you handle it?

How much effort was it?
