Mind-Boggling jQuery Chrome/Safari Scrolling Glitches
The following script is a modified version of the iPod Style menu made by the Filament Group. Their base script also has this issue, but I didn't realize this until deep into the modification of the script. Here's a link to my modified version:

To recreate the glitch, open this page in either Safari or Chrome. Click one of the menu options and the menu will shift to the right to reveal more options. When you get to the second set of options, scroll the mousewheel down and try to hover over the various options... See the issue?
My guess is that the second menu is inheriting the large size of the first menu in some disastrous way. Thus, scrolling results in glitches. None of the other major browsers seem to have this issue.
I don't really understand the cause, and I'm not experienced enough with jQuery or Web Development in general to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please view the source and help me find a solution!
