More exact use of the Slider

On smaller screens or sliders, it is not easy to pinpoint a slider value.  You may say that it is not meant for that. However, I would argue that it could well be used for that with a modification.  Here is an example:

Before:
  1. Slide the slider to where you want to be.  The feedback may show a number like '50'.
  2. Lift your finger.  The feedback now changes to '49' or anything but '50'.
  3. Result: :-(
After the mod:
  1. Slide the slider to where you want to be.  The feedback may show a number like '50'.
  2. Keep your finger in place for half a sec, the slider briefly flashes (ore some other visual feedback), and the value is frozen for a second or so, allowing your finger to be lifted without disturbing the value.
  3. Result: :-)
I wish the same would work for Android sliders as well, but that's a different forum ;-).
