Moving an element

I have image that I want to move from one place to second place, I use animate and left, right or top.
What I want is to kill in someway the element because when I moved it to the bottom for example I get scroll bars for X and Y because the screen is now too big,

Who I can move element to any place that I want and save the screen size?
