Need a smaller version of jQuery validate.js

I tried out the Query validator v. 1.12.1 plugin (by Jörn Zaefferer) and it's wonderful, however it is 39k. Is there a striped down version or a way to really make the plugin as small as possible to simply handle a change password form?
