Need help with jquery for blogger

Hello, I'm feeling rather frazzled and frustrated. I have been searching for days, trying to find a simple explanation of how to make an image appear when someone mouses over a word, exactly like a tooltip but with no text. I'm blogging about magic decks, and I currently have the cards linked back to another site. But what I really want is them to have an image appear of the card itself when someone mouses over them, preferably in a static spot on the blog. The address to it is cheapmana.blogspot.com

Also I have zero coding experience, so you will have to explain it in baby steps for me, including the html that I add to the blog post to get this effect.
