nesting tabs

I have a set of about five tabs, and in one of these tabs is another
set of next tabs. The child tabs exist in tab 1. I want to call, for
example, the 2nd child tab from the 3rd main tab. Is this possible?
The end result will be changing parent tabs, then moving to the child
tab in one text link.
