New BBC website using jQuery - portal question..

Hi all,
The new BBC site has gone live, and uses jQuery! - http://www.bbc.co.uk
Does any know of, or would like to make, a portal plugin that is
robust, like the portal system used on the BBC homepage?
I've seen and tried a few out, including the implementation in jQuery
UI, but wondered how the BBC did it. Have they written their own
custom plugin for their site and jQuery?
