Newbie Question

I'm trying to get a vertical TAB header menu for the TABs widget.
I actually want the tabs to work more like the area under "examples"
on the page http://jqueryui.com/demos/tabs/
I did manage to get them to go over and appear in a vertical list but
the styling wouldn't work.
Anyone care to help
