At the risk of being laughed out of the forum... here is my issue!

 

I am completely new to developing my own webpage. I am a graphics/photo/architecture student looking to start a simple webpage to display my work.

 

I have the simple pages put together (using dreamweaver cs4).. and I have just learned about 'jquery', my goal is to put a slideshow on a few project page that displays drawings/photos.. I have found the plugin for this as well on this site

 

FOR THE LIFE OF ME I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE IT WORK

 

the readme.txt included gives the idea of what the user is supposed to do, but I can't seem to do it correctly

 

I am sorry for the stupid question, but if there is a resource that onyone knows of (or they themselves feels like helping) for the green beginner that can literally walk me through the process, it would be a great help!
