Next month always 'january 1900'

I've implemented a datepicker, but for some reason when one clicks the
'next month' arrow, the calendar switches to 'january 1900'. Clicking
'prev month' leads to calendar displaying 'november 1899'...
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
