Problems with Resizable without a theme

Hi,
Is there a way to make some div resizable without using a theme?
I just need the handles as simple as possible (just a plain square).
I've tried to make so, but all I can see is the handles all groupped
on the left of my resizable div (not in the correct handle position
link n,s,e,w)
