resizing a table using ui.resizable

resizing a table using ui.resizable

hi all,
i am relatively new to jQuery.
but found out from the site that it actually features alot of interesting features for all to use and share.

i required to make a table with multiple rows and about hundred columns is able to resize.

i have read a few example of the resizable function.
eg.

i tried the below example:

however it doesnt seems to resize the table properly.

any advise or help will be greatly appreciated.
