hello, I am rather new at all this jquery goodness so please bear with me

I am in the process of making some basic alterations to this image slider

I want to run multiple instances of it on the same page but if I can't make it work. at the moment if  I have 2 sliders then both sets of buttons control both sliders

I know that I have a specificity issue to address here but am not sure of the correct technique using jquery. Any help would be much appreciated
