Save layout

Hi all,

I am new to jQuery and still playing around with it. I have a question and hope someone can help me out.

How do I save multiple layouts with jQuery? I am working on a simple blog site for someone and what they wanted was a grid view and the normal blog view for their blog so if people wanted to view the blog in grid view they could click on the grid button and then that layout option is saved so next time you visit the site the site will be in grid view.
