When you have a search list with many items the widget is very slow.

I'm using a popup to quickly search through a list of 100+ items. When the popup shows up the list is displayed fully taking a lot of time.

It would be nice to control how many items max you want to display at one time ( really you only look up the first 5 or so items filtered before you keep filtering ) 

This should speed up the control, and make the whole experience better.
