select menu drop-down transition?

select menu drop-down transition?

I like JQM's select (the one you get when you set data-native-menu='false' and match lable for = with the select's id).

However, I can't seem to be able to apply a transition to this puppy. I want it to gently drop down, but all that happens is this harsh drop down.

Is this possible to achieve?
