Slidein effect from image

HI All
Firstly sorry if i am posting my question at incorrect place.
fairly new to jquery. What i want to do it this.
I have an image inside DIV on hover to this image i want to display
Hidden div at particular location.
The hidden div contains images , links and javascripts generated
through PHP code. On mouse out of image i want to hide the DIV.
Any idea/ sample code or direction is much appreciated.
I have tried to did it with simple java script (old school method :) )
and got stuck with event bubbling problem.
Its sort of urgent so pls help
