I am creating an app using jquery mobile.  I wanted to use the slider.  BUT, when using Chrome on Android and you move the slider VERT slowly, the browser will open a popup with the options:

Open in new tab

Copy Link address

etc

My suggestion is adding a [-] sign on the left and a [+] sign to the right, so that if you want to move the slider one at a time you could use those buttons instead of the slider.

OR create a new widget     

[-] XX [+]   where XX is the current value
