Smartphone performance

My JQuery Mobile web app is about 56K. I can still take out about 10K in comments and even minimize it further but I would like to leave it in a human-readable form (for my students :).

In addition to the 56K of course I include the files:

jquery.mobile-1.1.0.min.css,
jquery-1.7.1.min.js,
jquery.mobile-1.1.0.min.js
modernizr-latest.js

Will I get acceptable performance on modern smartphones??
