Smooth glow for image on hover?

Is there a jQuery plugin that animates a smooth glow on the image itself (not a border/outer glow!) when mouse hovers over it? I've only found a CSS trick that animates a border glow, as well as Pixastic which does have an image glow but does not have a smooth animation that fades it in.
