Sortables connectWith problem

After a long while with no jQuery development i'm back and the Ui
library look very impressive.
I'm playing with the sortables now and i found out if you use
connectWith and empty one list it's impossible to add a sortable item
to the empty list. You can test it on the functional demo.
Is this a problem or is this expected behavior?
