Styling buttonsets

I am using buttonsets on a form. The Themeroller is great for customising the buttons in terms of colour, background and so on but I would like slightly more control over the look of the bottons. Specifically I would like some space between the buttons and I would like all corners on each botton to be rounded. How can I override the default settings to achieve this?
