superfish menu: third level width problem in firefox and small problem with IE7

Hi all,
I'm using the superfish module with a joomla website and have some problems:
here is the link: http://en-sof.de/inno/

first, in firefox, the width of the second and third levels isn't adjusted to the length of the longest menu item (in the second level it looks sort of ok, but in the third, half of the word has no background even)
I don't know how to change it and to enforce a width that would be ok...
I configure it all through the joomla backend, and I tried to play with all the options but this is the best I got it so far...
interestingly enough, it's actually working better with IE, only that in IE7 I have a small problem: one of the third level navis is made up of 2 words and even though there would be enough space for both of them in one line, it insists on seperating them in to 2 lines. I even put a hyphen in te middle so in to tricking it to see it as one word, but to ne avail: it seperates them after the hyphen...

attached are the params I set for the module and a pic of the menu in FF and in IE7...

would extremely appriciate your help!
thanks
nili
