On my particular site I have no choice but to use IE8 in quirks mode. Quirks mode seems to be the problem because if I switch to Standards mode, it works fine. I'm also using the CSS that came with the superfish distribution, so I presuming that's not the problem. 

I've been looking at this for weeks and can't figure it out. I've bundled the page up in a static form  here. If anyone could give me a hand, or at least point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.
