Table collum delete when sub collums exist.

Hi,

I need a function to delete columns, I have found solutions that work on "index" but these get buggy when there are sub columns. What I need is a function that can delete sub collums and also deletes sub collumns where their parents are deleted.

For an example of the kind of table I am using see:

it is the "gland selection" table.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
