Hi,
I've had a busy evening with the slider component and have been adding
some issues and patches to Trac:

Unfortunately fixing 4387 and 4388 (if you believe they were valid bugs in
the first place and not a case of misplaced expectations on my end) has
re-introduced the following issue (or one closely related to it):

I've added a detailed comment and a patch there but I didn't have
permissions to re-open the ticket. Could somebody please take a look at it
for me? I'd also be interested in some feedback on whether these tickets
and patches are useful and good or not,
