timepicker not working on mobile/tablet

Hi, im using a time picker from bootstrapformhelpers  works great on a desktop but on mobile the up and down buttons don't increment or decrement the time as it should. I've checked various forums and stackoverflow posts for a fix but can't find anything. Theres a post on the authors github page but theres been no response since last march.

Is there anyway i can target these arrows and make them increment and decrement with some jquery code which i can input on the page?
