I am assuming this plugin,  http://api.jquery.com/tmpl, is the recommended template for jQuery. On the page, it says "Version added 1.4.3", does it mean it only works with 1.4.3 and up?

The reason I am asking is that it is not working as I expected on 1.4.2 - it could be my fault, but want to double check its compatibility before I invest any more time to debug ...
