tooltip display problem

Hi supporters,

I have a strange behaviour with the jquery tooltip plugin from bassistance.
If I put the element on which the tooltip should appear outside the body tag, the tooltip appears and everything works fine. But if i place it inside the body tag on the spot it really should be, nothing happens, no tooltip is shown. Where do I have to start "debugging"? Any ideas?
