Topics need a hover state

It would be really helpful if, when presented with the list of topics in a category, the topic 'rows' had a css hover state, just to change the background color slightly.

As 'candy striping' has been denounced by several usability bigwigs, the best way to allow a user to easily see which data belongs together per row, is to change the background color on mouseover.

This is especially important since the font is small, the rows are slim, and the layout is full page width. On my widescreen monitor, it is difficult to determine which topic title is from which author and whether or not it's already been replied to. I usually need to follow across slowly by eye, and the best way to get people to frequent these forums and look for problems to solve is if it's very easy to find the problems.
