UI Portlets

I'm currently working with the portlets from the UI Library which is going well. I have coded the page so that when it is loaded all the portlets are collapsed, I was wondering if there was any way to make them open only once they have been dragged to a different column (i.e. Closed in Column A but then they open once you drop them into Column B). ?

Any help with this would be appreciated
