ui.slider is jerky in Firefox

I am noticing this weird issue with using the Slider in Firefox
2.0.0.12. It is never smooth, always acts a litt.e jerky. This is when
I am even trying out the included demo. Is this a normal issue that
peoplee know about or if my computer just being slow?
