I am working with a drop down menu inspired by Scott Darby's QuickTree code (

) but I've flipped it to become a horizontal menu with sub menus that are also horizontal and taking up the full width of the page.
When you click on an active element the corresponding sub menu slides down as its is supposed to. This all works fine as long as you click the links left to right and don't try to go back. It looks like one sub menu is overlapping the other and then not disappearing afterward.
Suggestions?
