Upgrading Jquery Application
We have a jQuery application written by a developer about 5 years ago. Naturally, since it is old, it no longer works with the latest browsers. Currently it works with Firefox 3.6.28

The application is not standalone but works as a plugin to mediawiki software.
I spoke to the developer who had made this application and he said that only the jQuery libraries need to be upgraded and the application should work nicely with the latest browsers.
If this is true, what should I do next?
I am looking forward to getting some advice on how I must proceed on upgrading this application.
I personally do not know jQuery.
