Vertical Tab

dear gurus,
i am trying to build a vertical tabbed panel with sliding options.
now, i am trying with UI tabs, but the animation is for 'height' only,
as the tabs are positioned vertically-- i want the sliding animation
horizontally.
what should i do?
should i try with extra plugin for sliding panel?
is there any workaround with ui.tabs.js?
please help.
