What happened to the documentation on JQuery sites?

I am not here trying to cause a stir, and I except all sorts of grief for this, but this is a genuine concern of mine.

I am NOT a jquery expert.

back in the days before jquery was moved to github, each site for the individual plugins, had beautiful, very detailed, very simple instructions on how to use the plug-ins, what options were available for each plugin, and exactly how to use each option.

I find the current documentation on the plugin sites so absolutely abstract. Unless you are an expert at jquery, I see very little information there at all.

It feels like finding a manual on how to drive a car, and all it tells you is how the four stroke internal combustion cycle works.

This never used to be the case. The plugin sites were so helpful, so useful.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what happened?

Or am I the only one that feels this way (or that has gone to the trouble of trying to ask someone.) Maybe everyone else in my boat has simply shaken their head and walked away, pining for the good old days when learners were welcome in the design community.

Please remember.
This is not flame bait.
This is not a rant.
This comes from a genuine concern, and a genuine lack of ability to be able to use the jQuery plugins any moe, now  that the documentation has been changed, unless my exact requirements happen to be identical to one of the limited examples.

I wince, and await any reply.
Cheers, AL.
