What is used for this effect?

Can you tell me (or explain) which plugin / effect is used to create the collapsible horizontal menus on this page:
I started looking at accordions, but apparently that isnt correct because more than one can be open at a time. Is this a plugin or is it an integral part of jquery (and if so, what is it called so i can read up on it.
