working on jQuery UI
working on jQuery UI
@segalerez -- thanks for the interest in helping out with jQuery UI! We're always looking for developers to help move the project forward. :)
There are a bunch of ways you can contribute and they're outlined in the Development center at <a href="http://jqueryui.com">jqueryui.com</a>: <a href="http://jqueryui.com/development">http://jqueryui.com/development</a>. At the moment we're very close to wrapping up 1.7 so the emphasis is on fixing any remaining critical and blocker bugs. Scott Gonzales, the development lead, and Richard Worth, the release manager, will be able to point you in a more specific direction, but for starters I'd recommend that you:
* join the UI devlopment Google group to stay up-to-date on development progress and open issues: <a href="http://groups.google.com/group/jquery-ui-dev">http://groups.google.com/group/jquery-ui-dev</a>
* review the UI bug fixing guide, which explains how to get set up: <a href="http://wiki.jqueryui.com/Bug-Fixing-Guide">http://wiki.jqueryui.com/Bug-Fixing-Guide</a>
In the future, would you like to contribute to UI development on a more regular basis? If that's something you'd like to do, let us know your strong suits -- which technologies you're most proficient with -- and how much time you think you'll be able to work on UI.
Thanks again,
Maggie
