Apply theme CSS to only one UI widget (or remove css per widget)
I'm using the datepicker and the tabs and I'd like to use the lightness theme for the datepicker, but my own custom CSS (not the lightness theme CSS) for the tabs. Maybe an api option to not apply the theme-specific classes to an individual widget would be a good feature to add - or am I missing something? Thank you!
Dynamic modal dialogs creation from dynamic DOM elements

Changing widget defaults globally.
Hi all, I want to change default options for the Dialog and I haven't found any documented solution. I finally ended up with this: $.extend($.ui.dialog.defaults, { autoOpen: false, width: 'auto', }); Is there more correct way? And is this [changing widgets' default options] going to be a public option in the future? Thanks.
Fading <body> Background Images
Hi, I'm really unfamiliar with JQuery, but I'm hoping to find a solution to my problem! Basically I have a 1600px X 340px background image in the <body> tag of my site, centered horizontally. I'd like that background to cycle through several images, fading in and out. I'd like it to fade automatically, i.e, no user interaction (pause, play, next, previous buttons). I know it sounds simple, but I can't seem to find any info on how to pull this off! Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks! Nick
sortable cancel of draggable
I'm using a draggable and sortable together. I want to perform duplicate checking and cancel the drop into the sortable but I can't figure it out and jQuery("#sortable").sortable('cancel') in the beforeStop/receive/stop events won't work. Any help would be appreciated.

jQuery UI Slider 1.7.2
If the slider is "position:fixed;" and you scroll the page with the slider. _normValueFromMouse gets more and more out of sync. But if you "add this.elementOffset = this.element.offset();" to the top of the function it fixes the problem. The long term solution would be to check at the start if the slider is fixed or in a fixed element and if so to not relay on this.elementOffset but to use this.element.offset(), which is slower of course.
Unable to sort the table for alternative rows.
Hi, I want to know how to implement sorting, if i need to skip alternative rows. I am able to implement basic sorting. Its urgent and important for me. My TD will have table in it. added accordion and it addes a space to my sticky footer
I think this is the same topic, as I add the accordion to the site it all of sudden adds a space to the bottom footer creating a space and shifts the page over. As soon as I pull the code from the page it's fine. Any ideas?
Newbie needs help with Datepicker and modal Form
Hi im trying to open up a modal form which i want to the use the datepicker (default mode) for one of my text boxes. it all works except the calendar pops up behind the dialog which is a tad annoying. CSS - Giving the UI-Slider and border?
Hi, I'm fairly new to CSS and have been trying to get a border on my Sliders. Rather than change the UI-CSS file I'm adding a line to my general css with the !important tag. (I'm doing this as I want to keep the UI one unchanged so I can apply a different theme if needed without having to edit anything afterwards). The line I've added in my general style.css is:- .ui-slider.ui-widget-content { border: 1px solid #959595 !important;} and this works fine in FF (a border on my sliders) but in IE everything
IE6 content hidden in accordion UI1.7
The content contained inside my accordion panels is not visible in IE6. More accurately, it is visible briefly when the panel is opening and again when it is closing, but is invisible when the panel is open. Actually, plain text is visible - like labels for input fields in a form - but any textfields, textareas and submit buttons are not visible, and neither are any hyperlinks. Does anyone know about this and what can be done, if anything, to fix it? I should say that I'm using jQuery 1.3.1 and jQueryUI

Draggable: Script error

Show, Hide, Toggle question
Hey All On my page I have a table with a list a questions whose answers are just yes or no. What I need to do is when the user clicks the radio button "yes" a table element will show with some additional questions. My problem is, I have 26 different yes - no questions all of which will have different "id's" for each radio button and table element. Is there a way to make my jQuery code dynamic so that I do not have to repeat it over and over again with each of the different id's? Here is the jQuery
datepicker showing entire year and changing background of cells upon clicking
I'm trying to use the datepicker in inline mode to show an entire year and 1. on page load, make certain dates different colors based on information from a database and 2. When a date is selected, dynamically change the color of the date based on other information selected by a user. I think the beforeShowDay will help me do #1 but not sure if there is a way to do #2. And how do I get it to display a whole year from Jan to Dec of say 2009?

dialogclose not triggering when 'X' is clicked in IE

Draggable: In need of a "all-done" event
When dropping an element somewhere in "the dropzone" where it should connect to a sortable element, then the element animates it's way to somewhere in the sortable element. The event "stop" is triggered when you release the mouse button, but I need an event that triggers when the element has attached itself to it's spot in the sortable element. Is there already some way I can catch that event or? Thanks in advance...
Passing parameter ui.tabs
I didnt find nothign about searching all day long. Im trying to open a tab with parameters, like this ?id=1 but from a list, so im able to choose what record to edit I tried : Cookies No lucky, i cannot reassign a new cookie for each clicked record, because isnt not possible to refresh tabs to set/get new cookie. Ajax I send the parameter but when submit the form the remote page opens it self, leaving the tab. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Invert the blind effect
Hi, I´ve implemented the jQuery Blind effect in a website: http://fysio.intraserve.nl (hover the mouse over the big image on the top). The dark bar will dissapear ( it will hide from bottom to top) when you hover the mouse over the image and will apear when you move your mouse away from the image. It works fine. But... i would like to invert the effect. I would like to let the bar dissapear from the top to the bottom. Also i would like to have the bar to be hide by default and appear after hover

The jQuery UI custom downloader doesn't include the "css" folder in the custom download .zip It was working yesterday but when I try to download any theme today (custom or predefined) I do only have the "js" and "developement- bundle" folders.

no css folder in downloader
I have downloaded a number of custom themes today from the web themeroller and none include the CSS folder, which makes them useless. Downloading from the gallery (South Street) still works. It worked yesterday. Can someone fix it?
