dragged to sortable received item
Hi, I am working with the 'draggable + sortable' jQuery UI example. I don't manage to get the received item into the sortable area. I can access the helper (cloned item -ui.helper-) as well as the source item ( ui.item ). What i'd like to access is the item which is received in the sortable area, in order to change its properties, which is not the cloned helper nor the source item. Is it possible or is there a method to get the received item in a sortable area? Thanks in advanced. David
Javascript code inside sortable div?
Hi all! Right now in our website we have a series of DIVs that we want to sort using sortable. Everything's fine until inside the sorted divs there is javascript code (ex: we have an adsense and other ad server code inside one of the divs). When we sort, the javascript code inside the div is reevaluated and that's a mess. After some debugging i found out that the append function in jQuery evals the scripts contained inside the appended code. Right now, i have put a comment in that line in the append
sortables - ghosting
I am trying to achieve the following affect with a sortable list: - When a user drags an element in a sortable list, a cloned proxy of the element is dragged around instead of the element itself. Forcing rerender of individual div?
When using "resizable" on a div containing text, it is possible to reduce the width so that the text flows out of the div. On reloading the page (with the new width value, and no set height), the div's height adjusts to accommodate the text. Is there a way to force the div to re-render when its width is adjusted without re-loading the whole page?
Animation sync? (specifically w/r/t accordion)

Have you noticed? jQuery Theming API documentation http://jqueryui.com/docs/Theming/API Interaction States: .ui-state-hover & .ui-state-focus definitions are the same. I need a ui state to change a style on mouse-down event (e.g. for buttons). Currently "ui-state-active" is set upon mouse-down and up ( in tabs and accordion ). My suggestion is to keep ui-state-active for mouse-down only. Mouse up would clear the ui-state-active (possibly change it to something else - or would get back to "ui-state-default")
BlockUI not always firing

Datepicker popup not closing when clicking on a second datepicker control.
We have got a number of pages which contain more than one datepicker control (a textbox with calendar button). If you click on the calendar button alongside the textbox the calendar is displayed correctly but if you click on one of the other datepicker textboxes it stays open. I don't think this is correct because selecting a date using the calendar updates the control which originally displayed it. I have had a look at the code in version 1.6rc4 (I think its the same in the latest) and the problem

hello, I've found the jQuery UI demos helpful for learning about the ui widgets. But what about the theme classes? I'd like to learn what CSS classes are available and what they are good for. sortable serialize broken when the items option is used
See the code below. If the items option is commented out, it works correctly, but with the items turned on, serialize always seems to return the original order. Seperate FX on nested tabs
Hi. I got some nested tabs and was wondering if there is a way to add seperate effects to nested tabs? Like have a fade-in effect on the parrent tab and have a "fade-in slide-up" effect on the nested tab. I'm sure it's possible, but does anyone know how it's done? Theme files from Google CDN?
Hi all, very simple question but hard to find answer for me. How to rewrite other jQuery UI files paths to use Google CDN? What is path for e.g. "css/smoothness/jquery-ui-1.7.1.css" from CDN? Page http://code.google.com/intl/cs/apis/ajaxlibs/documentation/index.html#jqueryUI writes only about jQuery[.min].js and jquery-ui[.min].js.... But no mention about themes files and so on.
Jquery dialog and round corners in IE
Hi All, I was looking for good solution to make jquery dialog have round corners in IE. Anchored Sortable Position?
Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to anchor a position when using Sortable UI. For example, I don't want the third item in a sortable list to ever be moved - it should always stay in the third position. So, the sortable list should function such that there can only be two items above the third item, and if an item is moved above the third item, the second item must be sorted/moved to the fourth position (after the third element). Is this possible? Thanks!

ThemeRoller customizations not in the downloaded css
I see there were problems with custom themes not downloading and that apparently that issue's been fixed. Sadly, it's not working for me. Am I doing something wrong? I make my custom theme in ThemeRoller, go to the Download Builder, click download, and that works fine. But what I get has none of my customizations, just a plain vanilla (Smoothness) theme. That is, "index.html" in _jquery-ui-1.7.1.custom/_ has none of my custom colors/ fonts; looking with an editor, none of my custom colors/fonts are

Datepicker Text Size
Hello, I have added the datepicker from jqueryui.com to my web site I am working on. When I put it on the front of the site, the calendar comes up fine and everything looks/appears as expected. For my admin panel, I did a similar set-up, only placed the calendar inside of the jquery tabs, and now my calendar is much larger with larger text and dropdowns. dialog("open") brutally slow
Have a large amount of HTML, but where I thought the bottleneck would be is incorrect: it's when I'm opening the dialog, not when I'm building the string of HTML (~35ms), nor when I'm appending it to the dialog container div (~50ms). When calling dialog("open") below In FF, I'm consistently getting 1800+ ms, IE7 is around 17000(!) ms. Problem using array of jQuery elements - or problem having to reload jQuery elements?
My task requires saving x/y positions of multiple draggable/resizable divs in a page layout. When I click the Save button the page posts back (because the server has to save to the database). When the page reloads all the jQuery draggable/resizable divs are gone so I have to reload them. Accessing tabs from frames
Howdy, I have a simple frame setup, a left hand frame menu and a right hand content frame. Is it possible to select a tab that is on the right hand frame from a link on the left hand frame? Slider problems
Hey there. I currently have two range sliders. I run a check on the slide event to see the the right handle is greater than right handle on the second slider. If it is, I return the false to prevent them from overlapping. This works fine but if I continue to slide my mouse, the actual value of that handle still increases even though fale is being returned and the slider is not moving.
