Dialogue draggable and repositioning
Hello all, I am using the dialog (jquery-ui 1.0) for a project and ran into two problems: 1. draggable:false doesn't seem to work. My dialog remains draggable no matter what. I just downloaded jquery-ui two days ago so I am assuming it is the latest. 2. When I close a dialog window and then reopen it, it reappears in a different place. Dialog architecture problem
Hi there, I'm using the dialog component for a new project and I firstly used it 3 days ago. This was the best component I've found on the web and so I grabbed it. Then began testing it and I was disappointed when I realized that you could just open multiple dialogs with a single link to it. I'm not sure if it's provided in the options; but I couldn't find. ui.tabs.ext is stealing focus on rotate
Hi, I am using jQuery 1.2.1 and ui.tabs/ui.tabs.ext v3 to display an auto- rotating feature area on a website. Unfortunately, it appears than when using Firefox, the rotation of the tabs steals the cursor focus. So, for example, if you are typing in a new web address/entering info into the google search box, etc., your process is interrupted each time the tabs are rotated. You then have to re-click into where ever you were entering data to resume. Is there a way to prevent this focus stealing? Thanks
Need to shift a div 50 pixels left...how?
I am using Interface, and even though support is limited / disabled, how would one take an element, such as a div and using an onclick on a link, move that div in a particular direction pixels. Specifically If I had a link that when clicked, a DIV with ID #box1, would shift to the left 50 pixels. Whether its interface or UI, what would be the code to execute this? Thanks, Bryan

How to sort dynamically loaded list?

Jerky Animations on firefox
I must admit I'm suprised that I can't find anything about this issue. I've noticed this particularly with the accordion but also when dragging and sometimes when resizing. There is a slight flicker when animating the accordion using the default animation settings which does not appear in IE6. It shows up as a small jump out of place and then back into place at the bottom of the accordion just as the animation occurs, sometimes repeating. I'm fairly sure this is not part of the animation as it looks
drag/drop buggy in IE
Hi all, I've been working with the jQuery UI drag and drop for a few weeks, and got it working perfectly in Firefox and Safari. My problem is that in IE (I've only tested it in 7 so far), it's not working properly. My first problem is that my helper doesn't show up at all. If I put original, it will throw an error, but if I put clone, it doesn't show the clone. The drag works, I just can't see anything. After dragging and dropping, I'm using ajax to reload the page, which basically resets everything.

ui tablesorter and tooltip incompatibility
Hi, Thanks for the great work on ui tablesorter. I ran into the following issue. I have a table with a tooltip in some cells (this one: http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-tooltip/ ) When I first initialize both plugins, the tooltips shows up. As soon as I sort the table (any order, any direction) the tooltips does not show up anymore. Any advice? Thanks! jz.
IE problem with Draggable
Hi, this is my first time using jquery. I got a draggable div and at the first drag everything works fine. But in IE I can´t drag any div a second time. In Mozilla and Safari everyting works good. Any ideas? Greetings ToM
Can't make UI magnifier work like I want with image links
I'm having trouble getting the UI magnifier to work as I would like when I wrap it around a bunch of image hyperlinks. The closest I can get is with the code I'm posting below, but what I really want is for the images to rise up from the baseline, a la the Mac OS dock. I can get it to work exactly as desired with a simple div full of images, but when the images are wrapped in hyperlinks the formatting gets screwed up. The stylesheet in my code fixes the worst of the problems but I just can't overcome
Opening external URL in tab panel inside same panel
Hi, I am setting up a couple of Ajax tabs, so the panel loads an external URL. The External URL page has links (mostly database table links). Now I want to have those links open inside the same panel and not as a total new page. I have tried using: target="_self" in the <a> tag, but it just opens the page in a new window. But the page should open inside the same <div> as the original panel. Is this possible and if yes, can somebody point me in the right direction. Thanks! Gonzo

parent droppable of a draggable gets drop event when the draggable is outside of the droppable
hi, I have a draggable div and its parent droppable div. The droppable gets drop event independent on where the draggable is dropped. If the draggable is dropped on the droppable it gets 'drop' event twice. Is it expected behavior or am I doing something wrong? The following is the example of the described. Drag and drop, very slow
Hi all, I am creating a drag and drop day-planner style app. I have it all working quite well (so far) but it is very slow. I have just uploaded a new and improved version of the drop shadow plugin. drag and drop: Severside-script needed in order remind changes and to meet customer needs
I would love to allow a very limited number of users of my password- protected website to use the drag and drop functionality in order to rate DIV-Layers according to their own relevance-impressions... But: I cannot implement that as I do not yet know how to save the changes on my server. AS: When the user reloads or revisits my page, the rating he did put into order will be gone! UI.Tabs in combination with Validation plugin
Hello everybody, i have a problem. I'm using the validation plugin (http:// bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation) and it works great, at least under FF and IE7. After pushing the submit button of my form, the form tries to validate. But after that it's possible to send the form without the validation. And the Tabs aren't working any more. Dragging and Dropping and Reloading
I have a book img and a few shelves that can contain other books. I make the book draggable, and the shelves droppable, and in the callback function of the shelves, I have a the same page load (it processes itself) and update the group of shelves. When I do this, the post request is sent successfully, but when I try and drag the book again, I get a "parent has no properties" error. I think I might have to re-bind the loaded shelves, but I'm not sure how exactly to do that and let the book be added
Bug: Sliders with 2 handles
It seems to be possible to get in a situation with 2 sliders where moving the slider handles becomes impossible. The problem shows up on the UI slider demo on the main ui.jquery.com page. If you drag the two sliders together then you can only drag the rightmost slider. Once you've dragged it clear of the leftmost slider the left slider becomes draggable again, but if the rightmost slider is in the rightmost position and you drag the leftmost slider over it then you're unable to drag any slider anywhere.

Is the JQuery documention often broken?
Hi folks: I wanted to check out what JQuery can do, so I tried some of the interactive documentation. The first page I went to, http://docs.jquery.com/UI/Droppables , was broken. The dragging and dropping that the page was meant to illustrative doesn't work, and throws lots of errors. .draggable() error
When I use $(document).ready(function(){ $(".block").draggable(); }); in a test page, using the example script and "block" div and class given by the ui.jquery.com draggable demo, everything works ok. UI Magnifier Issue
I have posted the following question on another google group, but could not find anyone that would give me any information. So I'm posting here to see if I can get some help figuring out what the problem is. I'm having some problems using the magnifier ui. Everything seems to work for one div of images however if I add another div of images the script does not work as expected. For the second div the image zooms in when the mouse is not even close to the image. I have posted the sample code below
tablesorter Column widths
For some reason, all of my tables that have 3 or 4 columns exibit the same issue. The first column has about 80% of the total width and the remaining columns are really small. I don't recall seeing anything in the style sheets to change this, though I might be wrong. Have others had this problem? Cheers -Jeff

Difficulty with animate & css overflow: hidden... IE7 Woes
This is my first jQuery post, and may I just say that jQuery (like so many others) has changed the way I program. Ok so I'm developing a completely ASP.net & jQuery website. My problem is that when I use css overflow in IE7 it doesn't really overflow when I widen a div using jQuery().animation; IE7 still thinks it's visible although you can't "see" it. What should I do to really HIDE the extra for IE7? Please note, FF works great with it :). rObert
