Prevent an event while in another event
I want to be able to prevent an event from running while another is in progress. For example, on this page http://www.queness.com/resources/html/newsslider/index.html if you click "Next" a number of times quickly, it stores all the clicks in a queue and will continue to run all the clicks way after u finished clicking, how can i prevent another event being added to a queue while an event is running?
rotating text links
Hi everyone, I am very VERY new to all of this but was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction. I want to display a line of text sorta like this... circle | square | triangle | heart | something else | rectangle and have each word link to seperate pages. But, I also want it so it rotates (say every 6 seconds) so there is a new line of words and links that appear. Can anybody help me? I would really appreciate any help at all. xo

Is there a way to get each keypress to recognize? "change" or "delegate" don't appear to work with IE and dynamic content. Why?
How can I make "change" or "delegate" work with a drop-down menu and dynamic content in IE (i.e. IE8)? $("select.cat").live('change', function() {... $("select").delegate(".cat","change",function() {...Nothing seems to work with IE. onchange on checkboxes fires n times
Hello, I have a problem. I have a series of 6 checkboxes with the same name. The purpose is that whenever one of these is checked or unchecked, another part of the page is filled again based on an AJAX query, that has the values of all the checked checkboxes as input. I added an onchange event handler like this: $('[name!=stage]').change(refillActionsParameters);what happens is that this handler function gets called 6 times when I check or uncheck any of the checkboxes. Jquery Datepicker - using radio button to select days ahead.
I would like to use a radio button to control the datepicker so that it changes the days that can be selected. i.e. radio choice 1 - user can only select four days in advance. radio choice 2 - user can only select two days in advance. radio choice 3 - user can only select one day in advance. jQuery check checkbox via MySQL query
I have a form with a group of checkboxes. Each checkbox in the group is named "foo[]". The user clicks one or more check boxes then clicks next. The values of the checkboxes are then stored in a MySQL database via PHP. No big deal. Suppose the user wants to go back and change his/her selections. I'd like them to see what boxes they checked previously. I'm trying to figure out a good solution to this. Since I need each checkbox to be named "foo[]" for PHP purposes, I can't give them a unique name.
Using .load() function for multiple divs help!

Hi, I'm developing one application that have two iframes. These iframes are ARS forms. So, I need to transfer information from one to the other one and after that, call one save method of the ARS form. (Ps: both have the same src attribute, in other words, the same form). So I have a page that is split into 2 columns. The left column there are expandable forms that are quite long to ask the user optional product preferences. On the right side of the page there is a much shorter, 'contact details' form. The contact details form is mandatory. Ajax query no works in IE6

Hello! I have a set of elements with id-s x1,x2,x3,x4. If i select only one of them siblings like $('#x1').siblings(), it selects the other three elements. But if i select siblings of two elements like $('#x1,#x2').siblings(), it selects all elements. How can i select more than one elements siblings? Thank you!
