affecting only one div
Hi, I want 2 divs, 2 to permanently show, the other only when a button is clicked. The bottom div must slide down when the top one appears and slides in. However i created the following code, and the bottom div isnt showing at all. Or yes it is, 1 in 5 refreshes, the other 4 it just doesnt show. I created the line $("div.divblok2").show(); myself because otherwise the bottom div never showed. I dont understand why because in my code I only affect the top div right? Ajax "infinite scroll" shoutbox issues
Greetings! Having designed an AJAX shoutbox in ASP.NET, I'm facing two minor issues with it. The shoutbox is simple : 10 records loaded in a literal, a texfield, a send button and a scrollbar inside. When you scroll to the top of the shoutbox, it overlays a loading div and makes an AJAX call to fetch the ten previous records. Then hides the loading div. My problems are : - Any AJAX element (like the updatepanel containing my shoutbox for example) will display the overlaying div when triggered....and

I have a div which is resizable (using ui.resizable.js). I would like a vertical scrollbar to appear only if the text is truncated as the div is resized. If I use a style = overflow-y:scroll, or overflow-y:auto I get the same result - the scroll bar is Always there, even if the div is far larger than the content. Hello everyone, In one of my projects I use simplemodal to show an ajax loaded dialog. The HTML page loaded by the ajax call defines a javascript function setup_dialog() that I use to initialize some functions specific to that page. In the simplemodal callback onShow I call setup_dialog(). This setup works perfectly in Firefox, in IE on the other hand (you already know where this is going :)) the function setup_dialog() is undefined. I tried replacing setup_dialog() with the jquery $(document).ready()

I'm using the simpleModal plugin to display dialog windows. I have a callback on the onclose event which fires another event. Is it correct that the $.modal.close() does not fire the onclose callback. If this is correct is there a way i could workaround this?

I've installed and set up Superfish on a Joomla site and it works great with the exception of 1 issue. When I'm not using "Search Engine Friendly URLS", it works fine. When I turn on "Search Engine Friendly URLS" in the Joomla global settings, and change the htaccess.txt file to .htaccess -- any page displayed by using the the drop down menu <Industries Served> messes up the template by not displaying the shadow separating the left/right column. Which happens to be a background image in a table.

I am trying to remove the default behaviour from the <A> within the Treeview structure. I want the +/- icons to continue to toggle but when a user clicks on the A I want to fire my own event. Next and Previous buttons problem
If you have ideas how to implement Previous & Next functionality and willing to help, read forward. Basicly I'm pretty bad of a coder, so to get this much working has been pleasant for me (hiding and showing divs via jQuery and links). Now my original idea was to not have any normal navigation for these, but rathen a "previous" and "next" buttons to go thru all the content one by one. I've just hit a brickwall since everything I attempt to google is way beyond my understanding of coding and javascript.
Inserting form field values into HTML
I have a form which is used to write recipes. I have a part of the form to list ingredients which uses 3 for fields, one for quantity one for measurement and one for the ingredient. Quantity is a text field and the other two are selects. The measurement select options are hard coded and the ingredients available are retrieved from a db and added with PHP. Under this I have a button that I would like to use to get the values of these form fields when clicked and apend to the value of a hidden form

Looking at the example for the values.jquery plugin I would think that I would not only be able to copy values from one id to an other but that I would also be able to switch the values as well. Hi, Is it possible to block the entire page but then override certain divs with an unblock command? I was just wondering, why doesn't jQuery have color animations built- in to the library? JavaScript has hexadecimal number literals (0xaabbcc), so it could be the way to define colors in the params argument object. An array literal could also be used to set colors. Why is it that jQuery hasn't implemented this by default?
multiple jQuery on one web page
Hi I have a little problem. Firstival, I am completely new to JavaScript and jQuery. I know how to use a jQuery, adjust a little JavaScript code and/or its CSS, and get this working, but only when there is one jQuery per page. I am in the middle of designing a web page where will require two different libraries of jQuery. And as you may asume it is not working well together. Only first jQuery does.
