problems inserting html using load()
Hi. When i click on a link to a different page i want to load the html files which need to change. This works fine if the content i am inserting is pure html. If there is any jquery code attached to the html i am inserting it does not take any effect. Hope that makes sense. Im new to jquery and quite confused. Does anyone know why this is or what i can do about it? Thanks.

Hi, I working on a project in which I am using Jquery to show/hide content. it is working fine, however I would like to have links on different pages pointing to such content. So, as for now, I can only use show/hide content with links on the same page (e.g. : page1.php). Is there a way to make it work from a different url? Tks, Al

<div dir="ltr">I keep seeing this error message from time to time on a site that I'm working on. <b>Use of getBoxObjectFor() is deprecated. Try to use element.getBoundingClientRect() if possible.</b> The site still seems to work fine, it's just an annoying error. Hi everyone, I want to allow my Users to download a file containing nothing but a string generated in the client. I do have a solution but am rather unhappy with it. In brief: Mission: * In my App the User is presented a list of checkboxes to let him select which content (already stored in an attribute of each checkbox) he wants to download as a XML file - pure clientside. Done. * With jQuery my App puts together a string containing XML-markup according to User's selection - still clientside. Done.

Combining JQuery scripts
I found a JQuery (1) Tab and (2) Navigation system and they work great but I want them to use the same library. I tried to download the full package, but I cant get the .js files to work when I try to use the full package. I understand that both require special scripts, but they are both using a jquery library and I would like to use one instance of the .js instead of 2 in my head tags. [jQuery] jMaps + livequery
I am using jMaps to add a point to my map and inside the point bubble I have a link to add the searched location to a favorites list. I am using livequery to catch the event handler for this dynamically created point bubble HTML/link. However nothing is firing. I've tripled checked my ID names, and there are no errors when the page has finished loading and the link has been clicked (my event handler isn't firing). Has anyone done something similar with an event listener on an item inside the bubble?

has anyone tried to load a page within an iframe and pop open a jqmodal within the iframed page? I'm trying to center the modal in the middle of the window of the browser, but if your iframed page is really low and extends below the fold of the browser window, then the modal will open in the middle of the iframed page (irregardless of where the window is scrolled to, top, bottom, etc) if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, please please help! I have CSS tabs setup on my website, and I have attempted to integrate them with a jQuery menu system that I have attempted to write. It works fine in IE (strangely), but in Firefox there are some strange bugs. The website is http://northvillebasketball.com. Only the second, third and fourth tabs have sub menus. hi all, since a jQuery collection (say, `var j = $( 'div' )`) looks and behaves a bit like a standard javascript array (you can iterate over it, fetch single elements using `j[n]`, delete everything doing `j.length = 0`), what is the preferred way to do other array-like manipulations on it? let's say i have `j` as defined above, and want to throw out (from the collection, not from the document) any element that the user clicks on, how could i do that? i browsed parts of the source but did not grok
