Thanks very much for your reply. As I had not received a reply for three days or so I reverted to the previous jQuery scripts and intended to check in here at a later time (I wondered if I had perhaps posted in the wrong place).

Anyway, having just logged in to see if there had been any response, I see that you have provided a perfect solution for me.

I can't work out why it's necessary to have to do this as the css for the footer seesm to be correct. Perhaps I'll try to work out exactly why at a later date.

However, thanks to you I have a great solution. Much appreciated.
