Animate a sprite element on a set path with jquery!

Hello!
I would like to do something similar with: http://benthebodyguard.com/index.php but instead of a straight path, I have a path with curves!
And the sprites must be able to be animated on scroll!
Any suggestions or thoughts will be appreciated!

Thank you for your reply!
I've already saw the script! It's useful because it allows you to define a spline curve, but I'm worried that the movement of the object onscroll it's going to be a nightmare! This script uses the jquery animate() function, and the transition is made automatically, with a set duration.

The problem with scrollpath is that it moves the background based on a set path, not the object itself, and I don't want to do that, because is quite uncomfortable with a large image as a background. But thanks for the suggestion anyway!
