Are there jQuery Mobile Ranking Issues?

I recently rewrote a website using JQM. The Google Analytic sessions are now about half of what they were with the old site. Is anyone aware of ranking issues with JQM?

I vaguely recall reading something recently about URLs with fragments (#something). Google wants "friendly" URLs now. Don't hold me to it, it was just something I saw in passing and of not a great deal of interest to me, because I use JQM for native apps (like PhoneGap) so I don't care about SEO/ranking myself.

- Google is your friend. Go search.

- You might want to check jQuery developer meeting minutes and JQM roadmap to see if they are planning on changing the URL scheme.

To be clear:

- JQM URL scheme: http://example.com/entry_page#current_page

- Friendly URL scheme: http://example.com/current_page

Here's some recent clarification.

Although Google recommends moving away from fragments, they say it does not penalize your SEO:

I'd imagine that JQM will move in this direction in any case - when Google speaks, everybody listens!

Well, actually, I mis-interpreted that. It seems now they DO follow URLs with #, and required "escaped fragments" (whatever those are) previously.

Like I said, of no interest to me, but still things jump out at me when I read industry news. At least I've given you some keywords to search for. ;) Let us know what you find out!

These links do not resolve.

They aren't meant to resolve. They are examples of what the different forms of URLs look like.

example.com is a special domain name that is reserved for examples used in documentation, so that documentation writers aren't tempted to use real URLs in examples!)
