transitions have never been 100%. best to avoid

That's the whole idea. The 1.0.1 transitions work and look great. The 1.1 transitions are goofy. I expect the 1.2 transitions will be just as goofy. Take a look at the "flip" transition on iPhone. What is THAT supposed to be?

If you're using a scroller plugin, or if you keep your page height to the device height,  the 1.1 transitions make no sense - they do a bunch of goofy stuff that is not needed, in order to maintain scroll position.

So,  zSprawl's suggestion is to patch the 1.0.1 transitions into 1.1 (or 1.2).
